Moorefield Real Estate is the result of decades of dedication, experience, and a commitment to excellence. The firm was founded by Ken Moorefield, a highly respected agent who consistently ranked among the top in sales throughout his 40+ year career in the Rocky Mount area. In addition to his success in real estate, Ken was also a custom home builder, giving him a well-rounded perspective on the industry.

In 2009, during the Great Recession, Ken recognized an opportunity where others saw uncertainty. With a vision for something greater, he opened Moorefield Real Estate with just a small team of carefully selected agents. Over the next several years, his leadership and high standards helped grow the company into one of the top real estate firms in Rocky Mount.

As the firm expanded, Ken relocated the office from Circle Drive to its current home on Sunset Avenue. After purchasing and renovating the building, the new office officially opened in January 2012, offering a central and convenient location for both clients and agents.

In 2013, Ken partnered with two agents to continue growing the business, and by 2015, he transitioned ownership to ensure the company would continue to thrive under the same values and expectations he established. Ken remained an active top-producing agent and part of the leadership team until his passing in September 2019.

Today, Moorefield Real Estate is owned and managed by Adam Bartholomew, one of Ken’s personally trained agents and a close friend. Adam continues to lead the firm with the same integrity, professionalism, and client-focused approach that Ken instilled from the beginning.
